It seems just plain wrong to already have to think about back to school shopping, but it will be August in no time flat! I have always been one to try to prepare ahead of time, especially with school shopping. If you wait, there are two things you can count on: CRAZY people trying to grab what they can, and really slim pickings when it comes to selection.

I've got back packs, lunch boxes, nap rolls and pencil bags. Check them out at www.thepinkpaisley.net All of these items can be monogramed and have been kid tested by my two little ones, Ava and Will. All of the Mint items (backpacks, nap rolls, lunch boxes, etc.) are machine washable. I love that.

I am finally starting to get some shipments in from market! I found these cute polka dot jute totes. My solid color jute totes have been very popular, I hope the same goes for the new patterns! Market was a lot of fun. We went to Dallas this year. Lots of amazing this to see!

Tinsel & Treasure was an awesome show! I thought I would share some pictures of my booth. It is really neat to see a show come together. It goes from what you see in the picture above (boxes and bare walls) to a mini boutique in just hours. It takes a lot of hard work to put the booth together...lots of hurting muscles for me the next day!!!

I really enjoy getting to visit with my customers. It amazes me how many people are familiar with The Pink Paisley already. And I must say, Pink Paisley customers are the best!

It's just about to be "that" time again for me: show time! My first fall show of the year for 2010 will be the Junior League of Lafayette's Tinsel & Treasures (Sep 23rd-25th). If you are local to Lafayette, this is a great way to start your holiday shopping! The ladies of the Lafayette Junior League do a fabulous job of putting together a great show. A better job!

Okay...I am going to try my best to do a better job of posting to my blog.... Not that many people (okay probably no one) actually reads this blog at this point. Well, okay maybe to occasional spy (you know who you are). My main goal is to try to post relevant information about what is going on with The Pink Paisley as well as my life.

So now that my two little chick-a-dees are heading back to school I will be able to have a real schedule, and posting to this here blog will be at least a once a week task!

I have decided to move my blog over here to blogger. I tried wordpress, but can't get the hang of it. I don't have the time to invest to figure it all out. At first glance blogger seems to be the way to go. There are just so many things I need to do to get my website and blog where I want them to be... simplicity will have to reign for the blog!
